Thank you! I’m completely self taught. Of course, there are people in my life who have helped me improve but I’ve learned mainly by drawing/painting. A LOT. :)

Painted some designs on my guitar.
you're an incredible artist, wow. i just wanted to ask how you learnt how to digitally paint and how long you've practiced? i butcher the tools on CS5 but i still cannot understand how to apply certain brushes and create textures that make a painting look good. sorry to bother you!~

Thank you so much. I’ve been digitally painting for 5 years and I learned by observing, practicing, and generally drawing a lot.
As for applying textures, it’s all about experimenting and playing with the brush settings in Photoshop. Here’s the two brush sets I use the most for textures. The first link gives a bit of explanation to the purpose of some of the brushes so that may help you.
Smaug.
I don’t usually post WIPs, but here’s a little sneak peek of an illustration I’m working on right now.
Meet Albus. He’s a ukulele playing otter. And he may have been influenced by something Matt Smith said in an interview and I may or may not be turning it into a children’s book.
I quite liked drawing in such a simple style.
I discovered you recently from youtube...you're my idol...i just wanted to let you know!!!...i'll show your work to all my artists friends! :D
